Boone County Schools Learning Support Services
The mission of Learning Support Services is to assist schools with assuring that all students are proficient and prepared for the 21st century. The focus is on the instructional core of students, teachers, and content, with emphasis on rigor, relevance, and relationships. Learning Support is responsible for curriculum, instruction, assessment, school and district improvement plans, special education services, extended school services (ESS), school-based decision making (SBDM), professional development, certified evaluation, textbooks, teacher interns, instruction for english language learners (ELL), gifted and talented, and preschool students. Learning Support also oversees Title II funds, leadership hours for administrators, Tech Prep and Perkins funding.
